SWEETHEART WAFFLE RECIPE

SWEETHEART WAFFLE RECIPE

To celebrate Valentine's Day, I'm sharing the recipe for my sweetheart waffles.

These aren't just great for today but great for any day where you wanna show yourself or loved ones a little extra love at breakfast!

Full details on the recipe and items I used in the kitchen are below!

RECIPE

The base is just 7 ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste

1 tablespoon white sugar

6 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 egg

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

I also added cinnamon and nutmeg but they're optional.

Mix together all the dry ingredients first, then add in the wet ingredients.

Preheat your waffle iron (link to waffle iron below!) over medium heat. Be careful not to turn your heat up too high so that your waffles don't burn! Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and flip the iron. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Then transfer your waffle a serving plate, add your toppings and enjoy!

**You can easily make this a
pancake recipe by taking down the oil to 3 tablespoons.
